Lawsuit demanding $2.3 billion in damages against Google
IT giant Google has been sued by 32 media groups from 13 European countries. Media groups are seeking $2.3 billion in damages, alleging damages caused by Google's ad technology.
They include media organizations from Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Spain and Sweden.
Lawyers firm Jeradine Partners & Stakes, representing the media group, said the companies that sued Google were harmed by reduced competition in the advertising world and Google's business practices.
According to Google, the case is speculative. Google engages constructively with publishers in Europe and develops working relationships with them.
