In this century-old historical sight, domestic and foreign tourists had to come to Buddha Vihar through a narrow road full of the risk of death.  Tourists coming to Buddhvihar want the proposed modern highway to be constructed soon instead of this unusable road of Mandatta period. Mohammad Fazlul Karim Arju, assistant director of historical Paharpur Buddhist Vihara said, Paharpur is the largest Vihara in South Asia located in Paharpur Union of Badalgachi Upazila of Naogaon. India is the most militarily powerful country in the Gulf of Aden and northern Arabian Sea.  The Indian Navy has launched an anti-piracy campaign to suppress piracy in the region due to a sudden increase in important sea routes. As part of an operation last week they seized the Malta-flagged cargo ship MV Rouen and rescued 17 crew and arrested 35 Somali pirates.  The MV Rouen was hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia last December. Pirates are believed to have recently hijacked the Bangladesh-flagged cargo ship MV Abdullah using the MV Rouen and taken 21 Bangladeshi sailors hostage.  The 35 pirates arrested by the Indian Navy can be sentenced to life in prison under the country's Anti-Piracy Act 2022...
