  Brazil wants to sell beef to Bangladesh at Tk 465 per kg. Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira is coming to Bangladesh on April 7-8. During the visit, he will discuss various business issues, including beef imports from Brazil. According to sources, Brazilian Ambassador Paulo Fernando Dias Ferres held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen ahead of the visit of the Brazilian Foreign Minister. At this time, he discussed the issue of beef export. Brazil exports beef to 126 countries in 2023. The country has been showing interest in exporting beef to Bangladesh for the past few years. In this case, Brazil wants to pay four and a half US dollars per kilogram of beef to Bangladesh, i.e. 495 taka. যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে ইসরায়েলি দূতাবাসের সামনে শরীরে আগুন দিলেন মার্কিন বিমান সেনা

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ওয়াশিংটনে ইসরায়েলি দূতাবাসের সামনে নিজের শরীরে আগুন ধরিয়ে দিয়েছেন এক মার্কিন বিমান সেনা।

স্থানীয় সময় রোববার (২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিকেলে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। গাজায় চলমান ইসরায়েলি আগ্রাসনের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ জানাতে এ কান্ড ঘটান ওই সেনা-সদস্য। 

সোমবার (২৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) এক প্রতিবেদনে এই তথ্য জানায় বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্স। প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, রোববার বিকেলে মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশ বিভাগের এক মুখপাত্র বলেন, নিজের শরীরে আগুন লাগিয়ে দেয়া ওই সেনা সদস্যের অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক। 

আগুন নেভানোর পর লোকটিকে স্থানীয় একটি হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। নিজের শরীরে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেয়া ব্যক্তি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের বিমানবাহিনীর একজন সক্রিয় সদস্য (ডিউটি এয়ারম্যান)। 

অন্যদিকে ইসরায়েলি দূতাবাসের মুখপাত্র বলেছেন, ওই ব্যক্তি শরীরে আগুন দেয়ার সময় দূতাবাসের কেউ আহত হননি। তারা কেউ ওই ব্যক্তিকে চেনেন না। 

মার্কিন বিভিন্ন সংবাদমাধ্যমের খবরের উদ্ধৃতি দিয়ে এএফপি জানায়, গাজায় ইসরায়েলি হামলার প্রতিবাদে দূতাবাসের বাইরে শরীরে আগুন দেন ওই ডিউটি এয়ারম্যান। 

হামাস নিধনের নামে গাজায় কয়েক মাস ধরে বর্বরোচিত হামলা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে ইসরায়েল। এতে এখন পর্যন্ত প্রায় ৩০ হাজার ফিলিস্তিনি নিহত হয়েছেন। যাদের বেশির ভাগই নারী ও শিশু। তথ্যসূত্র: বাংলানিউজ

  35 Somali pirates taken to India The Indian Navy handed over 35 Somali pirates to the Mumbai Police on the 100th day of its anti-piracy operation in the Red Sea.  After nearly a decade of inactivity, pirate violence in the Red Sea is on the rise again.
