  Brazil wants to sell beef to Bangladesh at Tk 465 per kg. Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira is coming to Bangladesh on April 7-8. During the visit, he will discuss various business issues, including beef imports from Brazil. According to sources, Brazilian Ambassador Paulo Fernando Dias Ferres held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen ahead of the visit of the Brazilian Foreign Minister. At this time, he discussed the issue of beef export. Brazil exports beef to 126 countries in 2023. The country has been showing interest in exporting beef to Bangladesh for the past few years. In this case, Brazil wants to pay four and a half US dollars per kilogram of beef to Bangladesh, i.e. 495 taka. At least 15 people died in heavy snowfall in Afghanistan

Heavy snowfall has started across Afghanistan. Roads and roofs of houses are covered with snow in different provinces of the country. At least 15 people died in the avalanche. 

The snow has completely blocked roads in many places. Supply of food and other essential items has been strained due to the loss of communication. Afghan citizens in extreme suffering. 

In many places, the door of the house is stuck due to snow. So many people have taken to shoveling snow themselves. At least 10,000 cattle are reported to have died in Balkh and Faryab provinces due to lack of food and severe cold. 

Separate committees have been formed in each province to deal with the situation. The administration has taken the initiative to remove snow from all the roads very quickly. Teams have been sent to rescue those trapped by the avalanche. Source: Today Online

  35 Somali pirates taken to India The Indian Navy handed over 35 Somali pirates to the Mumbai Police on the 100th day of its anti-piracy operation in the Red Sea.  After nearly a decade of inactivity, pirate violence in the Red Sea is on the rise again. India is the most militarily powerful country in the Gulf of Aden and northern Arabian Sea.  The Indian Navy has launched an anti-piracy campaign to suppress piracy in the region due to a sudden increase in important sea routes. As part of an operation last week they seized the Malta-flagged cargo ship MV Rouen and rescued 17 crew and arrested 35 Somali pirates.  The MV Rouen was hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia last December.
